The Bible version
The Bible version on this site is the New Heart English Bible translation.
I've used this version/translation of the Bible because it's easy to read (I want people to understand it), is an accurate translation (e.g. Jesus is born in a 'guest room' rather than a 'stable') and is copyright free (meaning I can use it without needing permission).
One slight 'quirk' with this version is that it uses the name 'Jacob' in place of 'James' (as in for the disciples) - but this is actually a good translation (and the book of James is still called James)!

Yes! It's easy to link to chapters or verses.

Who made this site?
I wanted a simple Bible site so I could link to Bible chapters and verses from my Christmas site (and some other sites). So I made this site! I'm also very interested in web accessibility and privacy, so wanted a site which was both fully accessible and very privacy friendly. I used some AI to help convert a CSV file of the NHEB Bible into web pages, but I did the rest of the coding myself!
