About Simple Bible
The Bible version on this site is the New Heart English Bible translation. I have used this version/translation of the Bible because it's easy to read (I want people to easily understand it), is an accurate translation (e.g. Jesus is born in a 'guest room' rather than a 'stable') and it is copyright free (meaning I could use it without needing permission).
There are a couple of things which are a bit different from some other Bible versions. It uses the term 'Lord' rather than something like 'Yahweh' (this is for consistency and ease of understanding). It also uses the name 'Jacob' in place of 'James' (as in for the disciples) - but this is actually a good translation (and the book of James is still called James)!
